THE DREAM MAKER by Mikey Brooks

Today I am very excited to share the news that the third and final book of "The Dream Keeper Chronicles" is finished and available for purchase. (see links below).

I have only read the first two books, The Dream Keeper (please check out my review of it here.)

And The Dream Stone (review to follow in a second). :)

In the spirit of full disclosure--Mikey is not only the illustrator for my Ginnie West Series, including my adorable picture book, Popcorn, he is my friend. (Which has nothing to do with how awesome his books are--but does have something to do with how much I want other people to discover his books and enjoy them.) :)

(Go ahead and check out what a great job he did illustrating Popcorn--I'll wait.) See? Isn't it adorable?

And he's smart--he knows how to format books, tape podcasts, do book covers, illustrate picture books, he's the author of FIVE full length novels, several picture books,  oh--and Mikey is a darn nice guy. :)

Okay, now on to the review of The Dream Stone. First and foremost, I should mention that this is the first novel I have ever "read" on audio book. It was a nice experience. The story continues where The Dream Keeper leaves off: several story arcs have been resolved, but a new can of worms is opened.

Soooooo, the reader is off on a new quest with a lot of adventures as craziness and mayhem take over Parker's rush to find out who "dreamnapped" his mom. He and Kayla have to figure out how to get her back and restore the balance between "DREAMS" and "AWAKE."

Not an easy task with Mares running loose: bent on revenge and kicking up trouble at every turn.

I love that Mikey's books appeal to both boys and girls--they are filled with crazy adventures and wondrous creatures, complicated situations, accidental (and purposeful) magic. In short, very entertaining. When you finish his Dream Keeper Chronicles, you should check out his Gates of Atlantis series. For a chance to win it--scroll down to the bottom of this post. ;)

BLURB for THE DREAM MAKERS:

This is the exciting conclusion to The Dream Keeper Chronicles.
When the nightmare king escapes into the world of Awake, it is left to Gladamyr and his teen bonds, Parker and Kaelyn, to stop him. They must return Mares back to Dreams before the barrier between the two worlds crumbles and darkness reigns forever. But to do so, Parker and Kaelyn must heal broken friendships and unite an army of children who are brave enough to conquer their fears.

I hate having the dream that I'm back in school and lost and can't remember what class is next or where it is.
