Ginnie has very few memories of her motherwho died when she was 3 1/2in this snippet she recalls a long-forgotten incident that happened the day of her mothers fatal accident.

Ginnie opened a drawer and fished out a pink comb. After parting her hair, she set the comb on the sink. She felt a swish behind her. Turning quickly, she caught a flutter of curls in the mirror, but they werent hers.
Gins, honey, stand still. I cant very well make a straight part with you wiggling like a little worm, now can I? For a moment Ginnie was three again and pulling away as Mama tried to part her hair. She heard every word Mama spoke in Mamas soft Southern accent.
No, Mama. Only one ponytail. Two takes too long. I wanna ride Love with you. Just one ponytail. She jerked backward and bumped against Mamas pregnant belly.
Sugar, be careful. Youll hurt the baby. Mama took Ginnies chin firmly in her hand. Be soft.
Present-day Ginnie felt a rush of sadness and shame as young Ginnie stomped her foot. Sorry! Little Ginnie pulled her chin from Mamas hand. Just one pony.
Mama frowned. Be nice. Youre a big sister now. You have to be a good example.
I just wanna ride with you. I dont want you to do my hair. Young Ginnie grabbed Mamas hand and pulled.
In a minute. Be patient and let me finish your hair.
Excuse me? Both Ginnies shuddered when Daddys voice came through the doorway. He knelt in front of her at eye level. I sure hope I didnt just hear you sassing your mama. Sassy girls dont get to ride horses. Sassy girls take time-outs.
Both Ginnies blinked. Goosebumps dotted their arms.
Todd, Im handling it. No need to growl, Mama chided softly and pulled young Ginnie close. Youll stand still and let me finish, wont you, Gins?
Yesm. Ginnie watched her dad out of the corner of her eye. Sorry, Mama.
I didnt growl, Daddy said in a quiet voice and stood.

Day 3 of 12 Days of Back To School Books: When Magic Falls by Alaina Stanford

I have one of those brains that won't turn off at night. Many nights I would distract my intellect by revamping a movie, book or TV show in my mind. I would twist and turn the plots and characters to achieve the ending I preferred. That developed into side stories about my favorite minor characters. Each night I fell asleep in the middle of a grand adventure.

It wasn't long before I began to create stories of my own and put pen to paper.

I love a good adventure. I love a good romance. As the mother of seven children I also learned to love to play video games. One day it occurred to me to write an adventure that flowed like a video game and I added a touch of romance. Thus, Hypnotic Journey was born.

What good is magic if it can't heal a broken heart?

Risking everything to save Sarah from the elven council’s decision to execute her for treason, the elf Prince Cabal rescues her and the others. They quickly disappear in search of the menacing storm cloud responsible for assassinating the wizards of the elf council.

This is a paranormal romance series that I have added a lot of religious history into the background of the angels trying to give the series a realistic feel.
